He said, “But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.” - Exodus 3:12 (ESV)
The call of God to Moses was accompanied by many promises that God would be with him.
Moses was hesitant, afraid and felt very inadequate to do what God was calling him to do.
There would indeed be difficulties, dangers and obstacles to overcome, yet through it all Moses was given the assurance that God - the great I AM - would be with him.
The God who watched over him in the bulrushes would care for him in the wilderness.
Our circumstances will change but God will never change. As we face another week, let us rest in this great truth. He will be our rock no matter what happens on our journey of life.
“Each step I take my Saviour goes before me
And with His loving hand He leads the way,
And with each breath I whisper, I adore thee,
O what joy to walk with Him each day.”
