LMI's A Word For Your Week Devotional taken from Isaiah 45:22

L -  The new year is already presenting us with challenges. However, God and His Word are exempt from lockdown! When Charles Spurgeon was fifteen years old, his school in Newmarket was temporarily closed due to an outbreak of fever. He went home to Colchester because of a lockdown! On the 6th January 1850 he set out to walk to his Church.

The snow was deep and on his way he decided to go into a different Church. The preacher had failed to turn up so a man stood up to address the small congregation.

Reading Is 45 v 22 he exhorted the people to LOOK to Jesus Christ and be saved. God’s word spoke powerfully into Spurgeon’s heart and he was wonderfully converted! He subsequently called many people to LOOK to Christ. God knows what He is doing during lockdown.

There is life for a look at the Crucified one

There is life at this moment for thee

Then look, sinner, look unto Him and be saved

Unto Him who was nailed to the tree.

Look, Look, look and live!

There is life for a look at the Crucified one

There is life at this moment for thee.
