W - Wait. 'Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!' - Psalm 27 v 14
When a command is stated twice in the same sentence it causes us to take notice. Waiting often involves patience and watching for a situation to change. However, this verse exhorts us to wait for an inward change to help us continue to live courageously.
As we wait upon the Lord He will enable us to rise above our circumstances.
The Psalmist detailed how The Lord had helped him on various occasions. He had experienced an army coming against him, yet the Lord had protected himIn v7 David prays ‘Hear O Lord, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me’! May the Lord give us fresh courage for this new week.
1.When I feel my faith will fail, Christ will hold me fast;
When the tempter would prevail, He can hold me fast.
He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast;
For my Saviour loves me so, He will hold me fast.
2.I could never keep my hold, He will hold me fast;
For my love is often cold, He must hold me fast.
3. I am precious in His sight, He will hold me fast,
Those He saves are His delight, He will hold me fast.
4. He’ll not let my soul be lost, Christ will hold me fast;
Bought by Him at such a cost, He will hold me fast.
