We were thrilled to welcome a team from Exodus to LMI last Friday, when they spent the day with Lucy McAllister and Danny Roberts from our Youth & Schools Outreach Team.

With the continuing difficulties surrounding travel, the Exodus teams have sadly not been able to undertake their usual mission trips overseas this year. Instead, however, they have been supporting many churches across Northern Ireland with Holiday Bible Clubs etc., and visited several local ministries to learn more about how Christian agencies, including LMI, are actively serving the Lord.

At the outset of the day, the five team members – Erin Spence, Lauren Fox, Sophie Henning, Natalia Crawford-Holmes and Sophie McKenzie – joined an early morning recording session with the Shine crew at the Ulster Folk Museum, Cultra. They even got in on the action, playing the part of the jury in a dramatic courtroom scene! Happily, they were also able to speak to our good friends from Scripture Union Northern Ireland, Crown Jesus Ministries, Scripture Union England and Wales, Scripture Union Scotland and Scripture Union Ireland – all of whom are partners with us in the Shine project - meaning they gained valuable insight into many different organisations.

In the afternoon, the team came into the LMI office, where they enjoyed lunch before Lucy McAllister took them through a short presentation about LMI’s work and spent time answering their questions etc.

Lucy and Danny certainly enjoyed the team’s company and were delighted to have the opportunity to spend quality time with them. It is our hope and prayer that the Lord will bless and use these terrific young women to bring Him glory, honour and praise in the years ahead!
