SHINE 2018 - Prayer Event

The annual SHINE prayer meeting took place this morning, when staff members from LMI joined with our friends from Crown Jesus Ministries and Scripture Union NI.
We entrusted SHINE 2018 to the Lord in prayer, and hope that as the project unfolds in 188 schools across the UK throughout November, God is glorified and His Kingdom extended.

LMI Youth & Schools Outreach at St Mary's High School, Newry

St Mary's High School Newry was the destination for our Youth and Schools Outreach Team on Tuesday, when Danny and Catalin enjoyed a wonderful time speaking to 96 pupils in two RE sessions.

The duo delivered the ‘Made To Be Me’ programme, which addresses key issues that affect young people’s perceptions of themselves, and discusses what God thinks as revealed in the Bible. The team also gifted each pupil with a ‘Made To Be Me’ book, for them to take home.

We are grateful for all the prayers ahead of this visit, and praise God for the blessed time enjoyed by the team. Please pray that the students will continue to consider the truth of God’s word, and ask the Lord to grant them understanding as they do so.

The LMI Podcast - Episode 25 - Ministry in South Asia

In the latest LMI Podcast, JF chats with one of LMI’s Coordinators about their work in South Asia. Church planting, evangelism, running two orphanages and training new converts are all aspects of this important ministry, but it isn’t without serious challenges.

LMI - 2018 Staff and Volunteer Retreat at Castlewellan

Last Friday, the annual LMI staff and volunteer retreat took place in the wonderful surroundings of Castlewellan Castle.

Our sincere thanks go to Adrian and Heather Holdsworth, who shared with us about their recent experiences as part of the LMI team in Kenya, and to Jeanie Graham, who shared her testimony – a powerful, poignant reminder of God’s faithfulness and grace.

The day, which was masterminded by our own Danny Roberts, also included prayer boards, designed by Becky Watson, worship, icebreakers and mealtime fellowship.

A great time was then rounded-off with a team challenge in the maze at the castle. Happily, everyone made it out safe ‘n’ sound, with the winning team – Rachel, Adrian, JF, Alison and Alan – taking home a tub of Celebrations.

Please continue to keep all the LMI staff and volunteers in your prayers, as we endeavour to make Christ known and support His church, locally and around the world.
