LMI are running an initiative which reflects the beginning of the ministry that started 40 years ago.
Logos Ministries International started as a missionary meeting in the home of its Founders and Directors. Thomas and Yvonne McClean were challenged by God to open up their home to host missionary meetings. Their aim was to get young people to think about missions, pray for God’s work overseas and challenge them to consider missionary service.
Back to our Roots is a similar venture where we are asking friends and supporters, and anyone else who may be interested, to set aside one evening a month with their friends and family to focus on missions and the work of LMI.
What’s involved?
The great thing is that we will provide you with all you need for your evening’s programme – completely free of charge! From a missions-focused Bible study on Daniel with practical application questions, to facts about Christianity and mission work today, prayer resources and ways in which you can make a difference.
Your missions evening doesn’t have to be a big gathering – a small number can make a real difference in the Kingdom of God. After all, Jesus’ closest disciples were just twelve in number and look at the impact they made!
Step-by-step:
- Register free of charge.
- Set a date and Invite your friends to a mission-themed evening in your home.
- Pray that God will use you to inspire others to catch the vision of missions and to be challenged by learning more about the work of LMI.
- Prepare or organise a meal (optional), asking each person to bring a dish, or alternatively you could order a take-away!
- Follow the programme using all of the resources we will provide, including the ‘Planning Your Event’ guide.
