In August, I had the opportunity to go to Kenya as part of an LMI overseas ministry trip with the Youth & Schools Team and my husband Josh. We visited LMI’s partner for Kenya and East Africa, Pastor Eric Ngala Mutumbi, and spent three weeks in Bumala, where Pastor Eric is based, seeing the work being done there and leading several different events.
Whilst Halloween may be widely celebrated on the 31st of October, for many believers this day holds special significance for a different reason: it is Reformation Day.
We recently received the following report and photographs from LMI’s ministry partner in Myanmar, Dr T. Seldom will you come across an update which inspires such thankfulness to God for His amazing grace, while simultaneously reminding us of the evil and peril present in this world.
As you read the report below, we would ask you to join with Dr T and the people of Myanmar in prayer.
It isn’t every day that we feel drawn to talk about toilets online! Today, however, is an exception, as we celebrate the creation of new toilet facilities, supported by LMI, at a school in Uganda. This connection came about through LMI’s ministry partner in Rwanda, Sawado Nshimyimana, whose colleague, Pastor Enoch, has planted a church at a refugee camp in Uganda. The church have recently established a school for refugee children, providing them with a degree of education, and an opportunity to simply be children, in the midst of extremely difficult circumstances.
