Bye Bye Lucy

It is with sadness that we announce that today is Lucy's last day with LMI. We had a lovely time celebrating her, and reminiscing with her this morning.

Lucy was a Youth and Schools Outreach worker with LMI since her internship that began in September 2019. Now she and her lovely husband, Jordan, will be working together to grow their family business Loki's coffee.

Lucy's lovely smile and colourfulness always brightened up the office. Her willingness to take part in whatever was going on, and the fact that she would always go for it, was so appreciated by many of us! There are certainly many happy memories.

LMI Staff Retreat 2023

Yesterday was LMI's annual Staff Retreat. The retreat is a great time for our staff and volunteers to spend time together, be taught and challenged from the Word, pray over the ministry and each other, worship God, eat and have fun!

Special thanks to Pastor Pip Kerr for taking the time to encourage us, your teachings struck an ideal balance between motivation and challenge! And thanks also to the T3 Conference Centre in Lisburn for having us, it was the perfect venue.

Danny Roberts Speaks at QUB CU

Last night, Danny Roberts had the joy of speaking to hundreds of students at @qubcu, when he was Guest Speaker at their monthly event, ‘The Gathering’ .

After a time of worship, Danny shared his testimony, a gritty, wonderful account of God’s grace to a young man who was investing his time and talent in things that wouldn’t last. His text was Luke 12:13-21, The Parable of the Rich Fool.

After the meeting, Danny and Alan Dourish spent time chatting with the students, including CU committee members, several of whom are entering their final year and have big decisions to make about their futures in the days ahead.

SHINE Prayer Day

Yesterday members of LMI, Scripture Union, and Crown Jesus Ministries met together for the annual SHINE Prayer Day.

The three organisations spent time learning about this years' theme and teaching, and then took time to pray over all the schools and churches taking part, christians in schools (teachers and pupils), and all aspects of SHINE.

We'd appreciate it if you, too, could pray for SHINE. A lot of hard work and love goes into the project, and the potential for impact is huge!
