With one third of the world’s population estimated as being unreached with the Gospel (Source: Joshua Project), it is so important that all Christians everywhere are engaged in the task set out by Christ in the Great Commission to “make disciples of all nations.”
The aim of LMI’s Mission Awareness Programme is to challenge Christians to make world mission a priority by being actively involved in some way. We believe that engaging in mission is an integral part of what it means to be a follower of Christ, whether that is reaching a neighbour or a distant tribe. We also believe that it is an amazing privilege to be used of the Lord to bring people to Him.
LMI seeks to mobilise churches to pray for and financially support world mission. We also seek to mobilise individuals to respond to God’s call whether that be to share the Gospel in their local community or in another part of the world.
There are a number of ways in which we seek to do this:
Getting involved
LMI’s teams visit many churches each year to mobilise Christians. In 2015 our teams spoke to over 3,000 people about the work of LMI and getting involved in mission. We would be delighted to visit your church or fellowship group! Contact us here for more information.
