The Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention 2020 will be held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

At this time of year, the LMI team would normally be busily planning for the Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention at Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church. It’s always a highlight of our year and a welcome opportunity to serve the wider body of Christ, as we decorate the church and Global Village with flags, mannequins, infographics and a wide array of items from overseas 🇧🇷🇰🇭🇮🇱🇰🇪🇳🇵.

This year, however, the Worldwide will look very different from usual, with many events taking place online due to the pandemic (*there are some events taking place in-person but you must register for these.)

The convention has meant a lot to LMI since the 1970s, when God used it to stir the hearts of our founders and directors, Thomas and Yvonne McClean, to engage in worldwide mission. Indeed, the Lord has used the convention to inspire countless numbers of his followers to get involved in mission, both as servers and senders ✝️.

A truly special moment for us took place in 2017, when, during our 40th Anniversary celebrations, Thomas McClean was one of the main speakers at the convention. Also, in recent years it has been a real pleasure for us to work closely with our good friends from OSCAR UK, as they make people aware of multitudes of great mission opportunities available across the globe.

We eagerly encourage you to engage with the convention this year, wherever you are in the world. The outstanding team involved in organising and running the convention have put together an excellent programme, with top-class speakers, Bible teachers and musicians all involved. You can read about everything in detail at www.worldwide2020.org 🌍🙂

We have experienced many wonderful moments at the convention over the years, and we hope you will enjoy this collection of images capturing just a few highlights (*several of these images are from the official Bangor Worldwide photo collection, which is available for everyone to see and enjoy at https://www.flickr.com/photos/bangorworldwide/.
