Sincere and heartfelt congratulations from everyone at LMI go to our Overseas Ministry Partner in South Sudan, James Baak, after his recent elevation to the position of Rt. Rev’d James Baak Nhial, Suffragan Bishop of Lietnhom Area Diocese!
Pictured here during the ceremony, Bishop Baak has persevered in his ministry through some extremely difficult times in his home nation, seeking to be a light for Christ during a protracted civil war.
Through LMI’s Overseas Ministry Programme, we have been delighted to work with him to deliver a range of projects, including bicycles for ministers, Bibles in the Dinka Rek language, and most recently, literacy classes, where students gained a vital life skill whilst learning from biblical materials.
By God’s grace, we look forward to developing our work together in the future, as Bishop Baak continues to make the Gospel known and points people to Jesus!
