A Word For Your Week: Genesis 8:22

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease. - Genesis 8-22

The wonderful array of autumn colours remind us of God’s handiwork in our universe.  The birds and woodland creatures are aware of winter approaching, so they plan their food supply or fly away to warmer climates.

God has promised eight blessings in this verse - His faithfulness is constant. In fact, it will never cease while the earth remains! 🌍

Pakistan Update - COVID-19 International Relief Campaign

This is Shafaq Joseph, a student in Pakistan, who also runs a small juice shop with his father. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, they had to shut their shop and had no other work available. Unemployment and food shortages are two major problems facing Pakistan since the initial wave of the virus hit the nation in the Spring.   

However, thanks to your terrific support for LMI’s COVID-19 International Relief Campaign, Shafaq recently received a food parcel that will help to sustain him, his parents and his younger sister.

A Word For Your Week: Exodus 3:12

He said, “But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”  - Exodus 3:12 (ESV)

The call of God to Moses was accompanied by many promises that God would be with him.

Moses was hesitant, afraid and felt very inadequate to do what God was calling him to do.

Praise the Lord!
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart,
    in the company of the upright, in the congregation.
² Great are the works of the Lord,
    studied by all who delight in them.
³ Full of splendor and majesty is his work,
    and his righteousness endures forever.
⁴ He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered;
    the Lord is gracious and merciful.
