A Word for your Week: Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.  Colossians 3:16 (ESV)

Paul was telling the believers at Colosse how important it was to have God’s word as their foundation. It is still our guidebook and source of wisdom today, as we contemplate another week ahead. We can read it and hide it in our hearts. Many Christian songs can also enable us to lift our hearts in thanksgiving and praise to God.

Tandragee Free Presbyterian Church Visit

It was absolutely brilliant to be ‘back on the road’ again last night, as Danny Roberts and Alan Dourish travelled to Tandragee Free Presbyterian Church to join them for their midweek prayer meeting 🚍
 
Alan provided an update on the work we have been doing during lockdown and then Danny shared from God’s word, preaching from Joel 1 and drawing on the parallels between society then and society today.

Bangor Worldwide 2020

At this time of year, the LMI team would normally be busily planning for the Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention at Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church. It’s always a highlight of our year and a welcome opportunity to serve the wider body of Christ, as we decorate the church and Global Village with flags, mannequins, infographics and a wide array of items from overseas 🇧🇷🇰🇭🇮🇱🇰🇪🇳🇵.

This year, however, the Worldwide will look very different from usual, with many events taking place online due to the pandemic (*there are some events taking place in-person but you must register for these.)

A Word For Your Week: Psalm 105:1-4

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!  Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!

Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wondrous acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.’
